Here are a couple of pics from China. 13 plus hour flight was fine, the food is ok, the air is heavy and polluted, the sky is grey. We have not seen the sun yet. Beijing is big and not attractive.
I went to china when I was in highschool...your discription sounds about right to me...emagine trying to sing with that smog...arg...but I must say... the shopping is fun :o) And the great wall is made for tiny people isn't it? I thought it was kind of funny something so mammoth could be so tiny at the same time (in some parts)
