That is my mother-in-law Pat - with the big smile! - shaking hands with U.S. Senator Barack Obama. Pat met Obama during an event in Detroit just over the weekend.

UN week in NYC - Condi Goes to Burger Joint!

During the UN week, it is not unlikely to see a sea of Secret Service escorting VIPs around town. This afternoon, I ran into Condi Rice who was meeting with president of Georgia at Parker Meredian Hotel. I walked out and took some photographs and wondered if she knows about the Burger Joint!

McCain

Sarah Palin is plain wrong. Is McCain going after Hillary voters? I think this will just unify the Democrats. This is a tactical choice and it is Palin...I mean plain clear. She is also young for a VP, perhaps she can tell McCain where "the" Google is.

Anyhoo good luck Johnny, you have no "hope" of winning this election. Sorry I got political. Its just that I will be covering RNC and I am not looking forward to it. I will be blogging from another URL. Once it is up, I will provide everyone with a link.

Saturday, I will get into a plane, to go see Palin!

Another Police Situation - DNC

The reporter is pushed into the traffic by a cop and then chocked by a supervisor officer who is smoking a cigar while arresting him. The supervisor then says "you are under arrest buster." Is this China? Or Denver, USA? Just not right.

Who?

The Who Farm (www.thewhofarm.org), in Union Square. I saw the bus parked in Brooklyn a few days before, it was wild not knowing what it was.

Biden is the VP

Here is a shot of U.S. Senator, Joseph Biden (D-Del.), during the 2004 DNC in Boston.

The NY Times called me after a long time last Saturday. The story ran on the cover of Art & Design on Wednesday. (link)

I shot a restaurant called Matsugen in Tribeca for Bloomberg News. The NY Times has used my photos twice for their own story of the same restaurant. (link to story - click on multimedia for pics) (link to blog)

Must See

Over the weekend, Mallory and I saw a great movie. No it was not The Dark Knight, or the X-Files, or the Mummy .....can Hollywood think of ANYTHING creative or new these days?
We saw 'Man on Wire' (preview).

The movie is about the true and delightful story of Philippe Petit. Petit, crossed the Twin Towers on a tightrope, 110 floors about the earth, as the buildings were near completion in mid 70's.

Please go and see this movie. You will "love" it.

I shot these images in 2005, where Petit put on a little show in Washington Square Park.

Just Found

Going through my archive I came across these images from September 2007. It is never too late to re remember a hero of mine, Tim Russert.
