Underground Neighbors

Have you ever checkout the person sitting next to or in front of you in a subway car? Have you ever wondered if they are okay? If they are happy? May be they just got divorced or were fired from their job. May be they just lost something or someone important to them.

It is also possible that they are just as content and happy as one could ever be!

A Nobel Prize Winner

Yesterday I shot Edmund Phelps and his wife Viviana. Phelps, an economist and a Columbia University professor, is the winner of the 2006 Nobel Prize for his research showing that wage and price trends depend on expectations for both inflation and unemployment. Okay I did not get that last part either. But he is very smart and extremely friendly.


The first photo on their piano was of John Nash another Nobel Prize winner who was portrayed in the movie A Beautiful Mind. They pointed out the photo to me as I was taking their picture!

Hunger for Fashion

A model presents a creation for French fashion house Guy Laroche as part of their Spring/Summer 2007 ready-to-wear collection in Paris. Looking at the photos I wonder if she is considered sexy? She looks like she is dying of hunger. Regardless, she gets paid thousands of dollars as a model looking like THAT!
